[Takeo Blitz is a character in the Blitz Phoenix anime.]

Takeo is the leader of the Chosen - a small group of young fighters who have been accepted by the Ancient Beast Wardens, the protectors of the Lost World. The Chosen are able to merge with their Ancient Beast's soul to gain the form and power of that Beast. It's their duty to protect the land and stop the ultimate evil that threatens to destroy the world.

Takeo has an outgoing and friendly personality. He's always ready to lead and quick to think of solutions, and they usually work. While he is generally liked amongst the Chosen, his naivety can sometimes cause disputes. As the group goes through trials and tribulations, they slowly begin to trust each other more, as well as trust in his leadership.

Takeo's Ancient Beast Form is the Blitz Phoenix. His Blitz Beast Soul transforms him into an electric phoenix, which enables him to unleash massive destruction. Unlike Kain, he is also able to pull in energy from his surroundings to further fuel his power.

He also has the ability to resurrect himself but this is not known until the end of season one, where he is slain in a climactic battle between himself and Kain. He disappears for three episodes before being reborn as the Mythic Phoenix - a more advanced transformation - and defeats Kain.

His iron will and determination to protect the innocent makes his Ancient Beast Form the most powerful of the Chosen. Kain Firestorm refuses to acknowledge/believe this.
