Chapter 16, Page 22

That's the end of chapter 16! And with that, I'm going to take a three month hiatus. The comic will return October 28th.

At the start of the year, I'd planned on taking summer hiatuses as a regular thing. But then the comic was stuck in only one update a week for a long time, so I felt guilty about doing that and decided to call it off. However, it's clear to me now that I need one, so I'm going to use the next few months to step back, not draw for a while, and then use a slightly-different buffer building method that should be more stable than the one I was using before.

Part of the reason for the current burnout (and prolonged once a week update schedule) was I was trying to work on a side project for the comic - sort of a little surprise thing to release later this year, a non-canon storyline just for fun. But I goofed with my timelines and work output, and ended up just running myself into the ground. So, that won't be released this year (aiming for next year now). NOt saying that to try to be a tease or anything, but just try to be transparent about why I take breaks.

So! I'm going to enjoy the rest of summer, write the next few chapters' dialogue, and start working on pages. See ya then!
